• The Alumni have reached 1,300 members!! Welcome Larry Jones. Larry served in HHC, A and B Companies 1975-1984 in Katterbach, Germany. Larry resides in Kentucky today

 

• MG Joseph Martin will take command of 1ID on Tuesday 18 October 2016 at 10AM at Custer Field, Fort Riley, Kansas. Martin served in 1986-1989 in Katterbach & Vilseck as Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader and Company XO. • 1-37 Armor Alumni conducted the 21^st Annual Reunion in Milwaukee, WI 22-25 September 2016. Nearly 40 personnel attended the event spanning six eras: Fort Bliss, Friedberg. Vilseck, Katterbach, Ansbach and Crailsheim. Four Iron Men (service before 1970) attended the event (Buckalew, Denman, Painter, and Coakley). Three members were awarded (3^rd reunion) Wise Man status (Bowers, Burke & Denman). Three Battalion Commanders also attended the event: Braeger (45^th and current), Foy (39^th) and Wallace (35^th). Many thanks to Mike Belzile (1991-1994) for leading the event!
• The Alumni has announced the new three year Reunion Plan as follow:

 

1. March 2017, Abrams’ Homecoming, El Passo Texas, Ron Bowers is designated Reunion Leader
2. September 2018, Nashville, Tennessee, Forrest Burke is the designated Reunion Leader
3. September 2019, Washington DC; Scott Bicksler is the designated Reunion Leader
